I am Arushi Garg, explorer at heart, lifelong learner, forever curious. I love breaking down complex systems to understand the root, notice what's not working and building it.
Work
I have donned many hats professionally - researcher, software engineer, facilitator, educator, trainer. I combine technical depth — electrical engineering, three years of commercial software development, statistical modelling in R and MATLAB — with research expertise in how people think, behave, can change their behaviour, and use language. I built that range across academia and industry in India, Germany, and the Netherlands, moving from engineering into cognitive science and then the neuroscience of language, with two publications. I explain the results to specialists and non-specialists alike.
I'm now bringing all of my training, experience, and skills into industry, and I'd welcome conversations about where it could be useful.

Life
I have built myself a small beautiful family, and live together with my partner and son in Eindhoven. I lived in Nijmegen for 9 years before this.
Parenthood has completely transformed my perspective of this world and has opened me to wonder and beauty of our lives. It has also made me appreciate the fleeting quality of time and made me more efficient and channeled than before. Parenthood teaches you to prioritise like nothing else.
Sustainability, mental health, and feminism are the big challenges of our times that I am driven by. This is visible in the work I have done professionally as well as how we live our lives and parent personally.
