Hello there, welcome to my corner of the web!
I am Arushi Garg, a person of many interests and I wear many hats. I am an explorer at heart and consider myself a lifelong learner.
Work
On the professional front, my main job is as a PhD candidate, studying psycho- and neurolinguistics, at the Donders Centre for Cognition at Radboud University and in the International Max Planck Research School for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen. In my work, I get to combine my commitment to the scientific method and my fascination with the brain and its ability to produce and process language, create meaning, see colour and feel emotions.
My work also involves teaching, something I am very grateful for and highly value.
I am a member of the Works Council (Ondernemingsraad) at Radboud University, where I have tried to focus on sustainability, mental health and feminism.

Life
I live with my partner Devansh Gupta, someone who also wears many hats, in Nijmegen. Besides him, food is the big love of my life. I love both cooking and eating and on occasion share my culinary efforts on Instagram.
Sustainability, mental health and feminism are the big challenges of our times that I am driven by. This has been visible in the work I have done in the Works Council. On the personal front, Devansh and I have been ramping up our efforts to live sustainably, over the last few years, and have made big changes in the way we live, consume and discard. More details on the changes we have made and continue making, and how, are forthcoming.
I also love plants, and at the time of writing this am taking care of about 70 of these beautiful creations. I am currently learning to play the guitar - any tips or suggestions for resources are welcome!
